Yoga the soul excercise
One of the most prevalent issues of being a high schooler is dealing with loads of stress. Rather than resorting to unhealthy methods of recouping such as eating 24/7 (I need to work on this!) a better alternative for lazy souls like mine would be to do yoga. Yoga is NOT lazy people work but it sure beats having to find your one pair of athletic shoes and waiting for the perfect day so you can go outside and run and come home all sore so you decide to stop working out the next few days and lose any potential benefits you may have gotten out of your one time workout. XD
Yoga helps us achieve psychological relaxation which is a change in relaxation in the neurological level. Yoga has been shown to increase GABA in the rain and improve mood, behavior and mindfullness. Yoga relieves stress and reduces muscle tension. It strengthen and elogonates you muscles( basically it’s working out without one drop of sweat). The deep breathing shifts your body into a state of relaxation which is critical for all of us who live our lives in a constant state of motion and frenzy. We always want everything fast: fast food, fast internet, fast cars. We often forget the importance of slowing down and enjoying life for what it is.
I hope this was inspiring enough to make you want to do some Yoga. Remember breathe in, breathe out, breath in, breath out :)
